A chair is very important in the Catholic imagination and a Cathedra is the seat of the Bishop, representing his teaching authority. The Cathedra for the sanctuary of Kericho Cathedral is part of the family of furniture that includes pews, lecterns & stacking chairs. The curved profile of the pew gable, influenced by the cantilevered form of the building, provides a starting point for a shared language.
