Margent is a hemp farm located in Cambridgeshire, England. They are committed to practicing organic and nurturing farming methods to grow their hemp, from which they are developing and prototyping many products and applications. The farmhouse was designed by Material Cultures and made primarily from the first hemp harvest. For this, Margent developed a corrugated hemp fibre and bio-resin panel. The process of prototyping these panels and building with them had left many rejects and off-cuts. In the spirit of circular design and leaving nothing to waste, Margent commissioned us to design and make a family of storage cabinets for their hot house / winter garden space.
